Children of Rwanda
Each child supported by Aid for Education has already suffered beyond anything most people can comprehend. All of our children come from extreme poverty. Many children are orphans of the Genocide, of AIDS and children from poor families who cannot support them.
Sponsorship will pay for all related costs to educate these children. This includes uniforms, books, pens and pencils and health insurance. |
NKURUNZIZA JEAN CLAUDE
We are always thrilled to share incredible success stories of Aid for Education’s work in Rwanda. This year we’re sending the first beneficiary to university to study finance and accounting!
When we first met Claude, he was in primary school and never dreamed he would even get to secondary. His father was killed before he was born and his mother, who is HIV positive, cannot afford to pay for his education. In 2010, we found Claude sponsors who supported him through secondary school and now he has won a government scholarship to university. Those same sponsors are continuing to support Claude by paying the extra costs of university materials and accommodation, giving him the opportunity he would never have had. Thank you to all our sponsors who make it possible for children to have an education and the chance to lift themselves out of poverty. Why not sponsor a child and help make a difference? |
